WHITE SUPERFIXALL-Technical Data Sheet .
DESCRIPTION
Superfixall is an exceptionally high strength, high quality waterproof cement based adhesive
developed to bond all types of ceramic tiles. Ideal for bonding monocottura and fully vitrified
tiles, as well as natural stone, marble, granite and mosaic tiles onto brickwork, cement
render and concrete walls and floors. Suitable for both internal and external applications.
FEATURES & BENEFITS
High strength bond
No odour
Economical
Water cleanable
Non-toxic
Easy to spread
Thick and thin bed applications
SURFACE PREPARATION
All surfaces must be clean, dry, free from dust, grease, wax, oil, laitance curing compounds and all other
contaminants likely to prevent the adhesive bonding. Highly porous substrates must be primed with ASA
Multiprime prior to tiling. Concrete should be allowed to cure for at least 28 days and cement render 7 days prior
to tiling. A wood float finish is preferred. Smooth steel trowel finished concrete must be mechanically abraided to
increase adhesion.
EXPANSION JOINTS
Movement joints must be incorporated in the tile layout in accordance with AS3958.1-1991 clauses 5.4.5.1 to 6.
MIXING
20kg of Superfixall powder requires approximately 5 litres of water which produces 14 litres of mixed product.
Add a measured amount of clean water into a clean container and sprinkle Superfixall powder slowly into the
liquid with constant stirring. Eliminate lumps. Mix to a thick toothpaste consistency. Allow to stand for 2 minutes
then remix. The adhesive is now ready to use.
APPLICATION
Apply the mixed adhesive to the prepared substrate using the appropriate notched trowel for the size of the tile
being laid. A minimum of 1mm bed thickness for walls and 3mm for floors must be achieved. Ensure that the
bedded tiles are fully supported by the adhesive with no voids underneath or behind. Lay tiles into the adhesive
before it skins. The adhesive may also need to be applied to the back of the tiles to accommodate the required
levels. Do not disturb tiles untill the adhesive has dried. Commence grouting after 24 hours when tilework is firm.
GROUTING
Use the appropriate ASA grout, allowing joint widths of 1.5mm to 6mm for walls and 3mm to 12mm for fl oors as
per AS3958.1-1991 clause 5.4.6.
CLEAN UP
Superfixall can be removed from the surface of the tiles using a damp cloth while the adhesive is still wet. Tools
and equipment can be cleaned with warm water and detergent prior to adhesive drying.
